Heather Bolen founded Travel & Culture Salon in 2021 following ten years in corporate design and construction, and a stint at home with her children while living abroad in Amsterdam. She holds a B.A. in History and French from Alfred University and an M.A. in Early Modern History from Emory University.
The idea for Travel & Culture Salon emerged during the pandemic as a way to combine her passion for history, art/design, travel, and business. Heather likes to think of Travel & Culture Salon as the virtual equivalent of an enjoyable day at a museum, then swinging through the gift shop on the way out. She lives in New York City with her two children and Rochambeau (aka Rochie), their giant Bernedoodle.
